Who is Kim?

I am a 45-year-old single woman from a small town in Texas called Burleson. We are located on the southern border of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. I have never been married and do not have any children. I have a loving family that includes 4 beautiful nieces that I love to spoil rotten. I work as a real estate accountant in downtown Fort Worth, Texas.

 

Why Travel?

I love to travel! I love challenging myself with new people and cities by getting out of the mundane daily life. I love to learn about other cultures as well as historical information in new locations. The time I spend away from normal life encourages me to learn more about myself (good and bad). It's a time to escape, relax and rejuvenate. And finally, I use this opportunity to build and strengthen relationships; whether it's with the people I am traveling with or new friends I meet along the way.

 

Single Travel

I deprived myself of traveling for years for two reasons. The first reason was financial bondage. I simply couldn't afford it. I was introduced to Financial Peace University (Dave Ramey's financial program) and found the financial freedom to travel. Secondly, I had an internal doctrine that said I couldn't do it without someone to travel with. Once my finances were in order, I traveled with a few friends and family members; however, I wanted to travel more than they could/would. My first trip alone was to Washington, DC and I was liberated from the "You can't travel alone" mindset! To the left is the love of my life, Cassia.
